Butter/Butteroil – Oceania at the End of July 2019

Report 29 – Released on July 18, 2019

Oceania butter prices firmed, reversing an early summer trend of weaker prices. Manufacturers in the region have noted greater recent buying interest from Asia and the Middle East. Butter output is still low this early in the production season. Some plants are churning but this early in the season production is relatively low compared to where it will be in several months. Resulting tighter supplies are a significant factor creating price strength following the renewed export interest.
