USDA: Butter/Butteroil – Europe at the beginning of January 2020

Western European butter and butter oil prices are steady. During this year-end holiday period, markets are lightly tested. Cream availability has increased, leading to higher butter production. Churning remains quite active, even as current new sales activity is slow. Little contracting has been finalized during the holiday period. Bulk butter production is now a greater focus than packaged butter.
