Butter/Butteroil – Oceania mid August 201
Report 33 – Released on August 15, 2019
Oceania butter prices are lower. This early in the season there seems to be less pressure to wrap up negotiations. That, coupled with increasing production, contributed to the price movement this period. Butter markets in Oceania are lightly tested but production schedules are building.
Production in New Zealand is noticeably increasing. Much current production in Australia is focused on domestic markets. Contracting for coming months is still being discussed in Australia and New Zealand. Some contracts are finalized but others are still under discussion.
